Mom Gossip

Jane sighed wistfully as she stood in her front yard and watched her gigantic son stomp thunderously into the distance. Her little boy was all grown up and headed out into the world. And while most boys his age were off to college, Kyle had undergone a recent height increase and had decided to forego school and instead pursue his dream of becoming a colossus. As the earth shaking footsteps grew fainter and the cars on the streets bounced with less and less hang time, Jane began to worry if her son had made the right choice. One off-rhythm stomp followed by Kyle's familiar boyish laugh, which now boomed for miles, signaled her son had taken a detour. Probably to flatten a fleeing motorist or group of pedestrians beneath his titanic foot. 'At least he's happy' Jane thought, mustering a little smile. As if on cue, Pam, Jane's neighbor from down the street, joined her in the yard. The two watched the fading Visage of Kyle in the distance. "They grow up so fast" Pam offered, knowingly. "They sure do" Jane agreed as she offered for her neighbor to join her into her home. "One minute they're playing with Legos and dolls, and the next thing you know they're turning little ones like us into their new toys" The two of them laughed warmly at the thought as they headed inside for a drink. "You know..." Pam started once they were seated, "My Daughter has actually undergone a little growth spurt herself. You may have seen it on the news the other day" Pam beamed with pride. "Was that little Krysta that knocked over that skyscraper?" Jane asked with and impressed gasp. "She looked so grown up! And she was so beautiful on TV. At least from what they showed before the footage cut out" Pam giggled said, "Yep! They were taking such a nice video of my big little girl and then Krysta turns to the side and 'Wham!' Her breast knocked that little news helicopter right out of the sky!" The pair of moms laughed and laughed at the antics of their gigantic young adults. Then things got a little quiet. Even Kyle's stomping feet were too far into the distance to hear now. "You know..." Pam broke their reflective silence, "My Krysta always thought that young man of yours was quite the looker..." She winked. "Oh, really? " Jane was surprised. But not very. Her son had always been handsome. And now he was a heartthrob the size of Godzilla. "Maybe the two of them will run into each other out there. It's a small world, after all. For them, anyway!" Pam laughed, but Jane paid the joke no interest. Her mind was instantly a flutter with visions of gigantic romance, titanic wedding bells, and a thousand-foot power couple that would make her a grandma to a very VERY big granchild. She couldn't wait.
